Want to be a PGA Tour Rookie?

If you’re a rookie on the PGA Tour, you’re likely to face a lot of struggles. From long hours on the course, to learning the nuances of the game, rookies must put in a Herculean effort to make a name for themselves in the highly competitive world of professional golf.

One of the biggest challenges of the PGA Tour is adjusting to the pressures of playing in major tournaments. From millions of viewers around the world to having your every move scrutinized, it’s a completely different level of pressure than what you’re used to in amateur tournaments. Even the most experienced players can crumble under the pressure, let alone a rookie.

Another difficulty that rookies must face is the physical demands of the Tour. Even if you’re in great shape, the Tour can take a toll on your body. Rounds are often five or six hours in length and require a lot of standing and walking. Additionally, courses on the Tour tend to be much longer and more difficult than amateur courses. This leaves rookies with a heightened challenge of finding their way around the course.

All of this can be a lot to take in. But with dedication and hard work, rookies can make their mark on the Tour. Every rookie has to start somewhere and with the right mental and physical preparation, they can find success on the world’s biggest golfing stage.
