Softer Steel, Chosen On Purpose

It starts with material. ZXi7 uses S15C steel, 7 percent softer than the last generation, while ZXi5 and ZXiU get face plates that are 14 percent softer again. Softer steel means better feel, but it also means less durability on its own, which is exactly what the rest of i-FORGED is built to fix.

Condensed Forging Adds Strength Back In

Hydraulic dies forge red hot billets into the rough shape of each iron, raising small features across the head in the process. A second forging pass compresses those areas back down, placing strength precisely where it's needed without adding bulk or losing that soft feel. The result is a genuinely soft iron built to last.

Heat Softening Locks It All In

A precisely controlled heating process then optimises the temperature of every clubhead, producing the softest possible finish without undoing the strength the forging process just built in.
